10 Tips to Get More From Your Exhibition Stand

10 Tips to Get More From Your Exhibition Stand

Last year we took home the award for Best Stand under 36sqm at the Asia-Pacific Incentives and Meetings Expo (AIME) with our illustrated backdrop of our Sydney venue collection. Our concept was brought to life by Decorative Events & Exhibitions who understood our objectives and created an outstanding stand to represent our business. Now with the expo coming up again in February (visit us at stand 5020), we’re developing a new strategy based on the following top 10 tips to get more from your exhibition stand. These tips are geared towards attracting attention and maximising visitor engagement.

1. Be goal centric

Are your goals related to brand awareness, leads or sales? Determining what you are you trying to achieve with your stand is important for the design.

2. Have a clear brand message

What one idea do you want your visitors to take away from your stand? A simple message is more memorable.

3. Approach it like a product launch

Develop a theme that will attract attention and offer visitors something of value that resonates with them.

4. Invest in pre-show marketing

Generate excitement by promoting your stand in the lead up to the show. Incentivise past clients with a value offer.

5. Play to your team strengths

Make your booth approachable by placing confident and friendly people up and product experts at the back for more detailed discussions.

6. Keep it quick

The aim of the game is to grab attention, create excitement, collect details and move along. Keep discussions under 10 minutes to maximise lead opportunities.

7. Train you team

Teach your team simple sales techniques to ensure your stand offers a good guest service.

8. Create stand rules

No phones, food or chatting amongst staff are basic rules that will ensure your team is 100% focused when manning the stand.

9. Be exciting

To stand out and attract visitors to your stand, play with lighting, sound and visuals to attract attention.

10. Focus on engagement

Incorporating an element of interactivity to your stand can help people relate to your brand and quickly determine its benefits to them.
