2018 WEDDING SHOWCASE RECAP: A NIGHT TO BE DAZZLED

Newly engaged couples were invited to the Doltone House 14th Annual Pyrmont Wedding Showcase for a night that truly dazzled. Based at both our Sydney Harbour locations, Darling Island Wharf and Jones Bay Wharf Pyrmont, guests were given the opportunity to see some of Australia’s best talent and designs in the industry from invitations, to photographers, bridal gowns, and accessories in a spectacular setting.

Brides were given a glimpse into the current wedding trends of the season, with our bespoke styling team House of Doltone setting the scene with dazzling decor from floor to ceiling. Our talented MC’s for the night, John Alten and Donny Galella, had our guests excited as they spent the night engaging with our exhibitors, watching the bridal fashion runway and enlightening guests with a makeup and bridesmaid workshop by White Runway and Sarah Marie Make up.

Couples had the opportunity to meet and engage with some of the leading Australian suppliers in the wedding industry to help bring their dream wedding to a reality, while also taking inspiration from this years 11th volume of the “Doltone Wish” supplier directory, featuring on the cover our stunning couple Daniella and Nick who celebrated their wedding at our Hyde Park venue.

Those who attended the Wedding Showcase were also treated to a night of food and beverage tasting with canapés and wedding cakes throughout the night.

Doltone House guests were also entertained with two separate spectacular runway shows with Brides by Francesca featuring bridal gowns by Berta, while the men looked sharp in custom Alex Goodman tailored suits. The models walked down the runway aisle looking fabulous, with their hair styled back by the team at Fabulous Hair Up which looked wonderful with the sparkling bridal headwear by Maria Elena Headpieces, while their make up was ravishing, having being done by the talented Sarah Marie Makeup artist.

The runway show also featured Stellina Cute Couture children wear, which showcased our flower girls and pageboys looking gorgeous and handsome, walking down the aisle in adorable dresses and suits, looking the part.

To complement the night, entertainment filled the venue as EP Entertainment began with a contortionist act, followed by a middle eastern double edge duo performance through the night, and Care to Dance dancing school put on a spectacular bridal waltz demonstration.

Throughout the night the guests were also treated to a special night of workshops and demonstrations. Sarah Marie Makeup Artist provided tips and tricks to ensure your makeup is on point for the big event, while White Runway showcased their current collection perfect for bridesmaids and wedding guests.

Sydney Pyrotechnics created a spectacular night, with a demonstration of dry ice as a feature and their use of Sparkular’s to create that perfect wow moment with their guests.

Styled by our bespoke House of Doltone styling team, the showcase was filled with dazzling features that wowed throughout the night. Inspired by the glitz and the glamour of luxury weddings, House of Doltone staged both Doltone House Sydney Harbour venues with gold table decor, chandeliers, and soft floral stylings, the ideal setting for a romantic wedding recception.

The runway kept to the dazzling theme of the night in creating a modern and glamorous look by incorporating tassel detail along the ceiling with luxurious crystal chandeliers lining the stage. The backdrop made for an enchanting moment with gold and modern props and white floral bouquet’s wrapped around.

Our Jones Bay Wharf venue exuded a modern glamour feel with featured floor to ceiling crystal chandeliers that lit up the night, while the candles, floral centerpieces and elegant table settings gave off a romantic feel.

At Darling Island Wharf, House of Doltone captured golden grandeur through table settings and centerpieces accompanied with white floral arrangements, perfect for the modern bride.
