A White Wedding For Brendon & Nicole

It was love at first sight according to Nicole. She said, “from the moment I met Brendon I just knew there was something about him, I knew he was going to be a special part of my life.” You could absolutely feel the love between these two on their wedding day, surrounded by all their loved ones with a celebration that was full of energy and life. We asked Nicole and Brendon to describe their wedding day to someone in ten words or less – they said, “truly the best day of our lives, that’s what we tell everybody.”

The Proposal

Nicole was blown away with how romantic the proposal was. He took her for dinner and a stroll around Circular Quay, stopping in front of the Harbour Bridge to show her a video he had created of all the photos they had taken around the world together. He asked her for one more photo to add to the collection, before pausing and dropping to one knee. Brendon had his friends secretly follow them to film the whole thing. Needless to say, Nicole said ‘YES’ through happy tears and was whisked away to a surprise celebration full of all their closest friends and family.

The Ceremony

The wedding ceremony of Brendon and Nicole was located on the outdoor deck at Doltone House Jones Bay Wharf, with the Harbour Bridge as the backdrop. Nicole said they didn’t want to go overboard with styling for their ceremony as their surroundings were already so beautiful. They seated their guests on white chairs along the deck, with a white aisle runner and floral arrangements. Nicole said the highlight of her day was walking down the aisle and seeing Brendon’s face as he smiled with tears in his eyes. Brendon said he still gets emotional thinking about that moment too as Nicole walked down the aisle towards him.

The Wedding

Nicole and Brendon chose Doltone House Jones Bay Wharf for their wedding day because they loved the idea of having their ceremony and reception at the same venue. She said, “I loved having our wedding at Doltone house, we’ve been to many weddings there including my sister who got married there also and you can never fault the outstanding service Doltone House and the team provide.” Being from an Italian and Greek background, there was a big focus on the food too. There was antipasto and fresh seafood platters on arrival, followed by alternative entrees and mains and finished with their decadent Andy Bowdy wedding cake and a grazing cheese station for dessert.

The Styling

From the beginning, Nicole knew that she wanted a wedding that was unique to her and Brendon. They chose a modern colour palette of black, white and gold to create a timeless look that was the perfectly balanced. They wanted their wedding to reflect their style, elegant, chic, simplistic and modern. For the styling, Brendon and Nicole worked with our in house styling team, House of Doltone. Nicole said “they were amazing and truly helped bring our vision to life. They brought new exciting ideas to the table which we were on board with and I think it paid off to have someone on a professional level help plan your dream wedding to ensure you get what you’ve always dreamed of and more.”
