When it comes to impressing business delegates, the sky’s the limit, and that was the theme for our Doltone Business Events Showcase this year.
On Tuesday, 10th July, 2018 event planners and organisers were invited to view the world of business planning through forward thinking, live entertainment and motivational guest speakers while taking a tour around 3 iconic Sydney venues that Doltone House has to offer, starting with Jones Bay Wharf, Darling Island and then finishing off at Hyde Park.
Our bespoke in-house styling team House of Doltone went above and beyond to make all 3 of our Sydney venues a stand out, while the Microhire team delivered AV and lighting to ensure a seamless performance throughout the event.
Welcome! Let the Showcase Begin
The tour officially started at our iconic Heritage Wharf space in Jones Bay Wharf, Pyrmont. From virtual reality tours to team building events, guests were given the opportunity to experience the latest trends with innovative technologies, Spanish Tapas grazing stations and tomato juice shots.
Cheeky Food Events fired up a storm at the bespoke ‘Doltone Kitchen’ live theatre kitchen. There were lots of action as guests flambéed chorizo on stage! Our head of sales gave a spotlight about Australian Technology Park – the largest Doltone House venue with 3 unique spaces (including a cinema!).
The LOFT at Jones Bay Wharf took on a cool, fresh look inspired by the Hamptons. Guests were treated to a refreshing twist, cocktail style, with complimentary Wingman beer and stunning views from the gantry of the iconic Sydney Harbour Bridge while snacking on BBQ corn lollipops with chipotle.
Our newest addition to the Jones Bay Wharf space showcased a more private and intimate cocktail themed room using sleek and minimalistic designs with a pop of colour.
Listen with a new perspective. Our Silent Disco was the perfect accompaniment to this year’s theme, Sky’s the Limit, giving our guests a fresh look on how to take corporate events to the next level. Feature talks on cloud webinars were presented by Webcast Cloud and guide to savvy social media by Uptown Communications.
A delicious selection of cocktail noodle bowls were served as a light and refreshing appetizer pre-silent disco session.
Simple and stylish, Parkview was setup as an intimate corporate sit down with stage and dance floor. This space opened up to an abundance of natural light and bright interiors.
Signorelli Gastronomia – Darling Island, Sydney Harbour
Bringing the outdoor in with rustic charm elements gave corporates a glimpse into how Signorelli Gastronomia could transform from corporate dining to interactive cocktail events with a cooking class demonstration. Watch out for updates on this space.
Nonna’s meatballs – true Italian style
We’re always coming up with new food station ideas! Succulent meatballs (otherwise known as ‘polpette’) were served in wooden bowls lined with traditional red and white checkered wax paper. The delicious red sauce was perfect for dipping crusty bread in.
Manhattan – Hyde Park, Sydney CBD
Manhattan at Hyde Park featured a fashion pop up store by Karen Gee and a makeup workshop by Melanie Burnicle. Guests where also treated to a stand out performance by the String Diva’s violin act while they sipped on an espresso martini… or two.
Ballroom – Hyde Park, Sydney CBD
Doltone guests were delighted to participate in a stylish dessert and wine tasting. The Ballroom at Hyde Park demonstrated why the venue has won three HOT SPICE 100 awards in the last year.
Sing & Dance with Jacinta Gulisano
Pop princess Jacinta from The Voice wow-ed the guests with live entertainment. Guests loved the performance and finished the tour on a high by partying on the dance floor.
