Doltone House 2020 Business Events ‘The Gold’ Showcase Recap

Our 5th annual Business Events Showcase on Tuesday 25th February 2020 was truly a Gold showcase filled with spectacular moments, immersive experiences that highlighted our hospitality, House of Doltone styling, AV and lighting capabilities (Microhire), catering and spaces!

The tour began at our Jones Bay Wharf venue with spectacular Sydney Harbour Bridge Views, moving to the breathtaking waterfront Darling Island and then ending the tour at Hyde Park, located in the heart of the Sydney CBD.

JONES BAY WHARF, PYRMONT ‘SYDNEY HARBOUR BACKDROP’

HERITAGE WHARF- JONES BAY WHARF

To begin the golden tour, we welcomed attendees with a glass of Moët from the spectacular gold bar to celebrate 50 Golden Years of Doltone House. Easing into the day, guests sampled our delicious floating formaggio profiterole savoury bites and salmon mousse macarons, a chance to win a golden prize in our Catch and Grab game and capture the moments with a GIF Photo Booth.

Then followed the balloons to experience a cinematic story behind Doltone House our 50 years of Family & Passion while enjoying some poppin’ popcorn from the Doltone House cart.

To continue the Gold showcase, guests indulged in Monet’s edible palette filled with delicious crips and dips before getting creative with our Pop, Fizz and Paint express masterclass. The results were fantastic!

LOFT – JONES BAY WHARF

Following on from our painting experience, guests were greeted by a stylish Moet Chandon penguin before wandering through our Winter Aspen lodge. The dry ice upon entry created the WOW factor while cooling off with vegan popsicles.

The second level featured a banquet set up with logs, pine and candles as centrepieces to tie the theme together.

SOHO – JONES BAY WHARF

SoHo featured a modern boardroom set up complete with stylish chairs, stunning centrepieces and some delicious healthy nibbles to get you through your meeting!

DARLING ISLAND, PYRMONT ‘FOOTSTEPS TO THE HARBOUR’

The tour continued at Darling Island Pyrmont. It was all about Sustainability at this location. Guests were treated to botanical plant-based bites, boozy iced teas and pressed juices, thanks to the Catering By Doltone team!

Chef Mario and Vern from Saint Wine touched on the environmental impacts and contributions in the catering industry, followed by an interactive Garden to Table Pesto Making masterclass and a Vine to Glass Sustainable Wine Tasting.

Part of the guests grouped together and got hands-on as Chef Mario took the lead in our Presto Pesto express masterclass to grind and create the most delicious basil pesto!

SIGNORELLI GASTRONOMIA – DARLING ISLAND

While other guests enjoyed an express Vine to Glass Sustainable Wine Tasting featuring Australian products from Nashdale Lane wines to Pepe Saya cultured butter and Grumpy Baker sourdough bread.

PARKVIEW – DARLING ISLAND

The relaxation hub filled with yoga mats, silent disco headphones and bean bags to create a calming atmosphere showcasing how delegates can create a breakout space and chilled ambience for their event.

BALLROOM – HYDE PARK ‘SOPHISTICATED GRANDEUR IN SYDNEY CBD’

The final stop for our Business Events Gold Showcase was at our Hyde Park Sydney CBD venue. Guests experienced ways to pay respect to our land and acknowledge the Indigenous people of Australia. Grabbed a sweet bite at our 8 metre Spirit of the Outback Dessert Train and sipped on native Australian cocktails!

MANHATTAN – HYDE PARK

The tour officially ended off in our Manhattan space with an interactive Panna Cotta station where guests selected and scented panna cotta! As well as an Australian themed dinner set up put together by the House of Doltone styling team.
