THE FAIRY TALE WEDDING OF LANA AND HUBERT

Lana and Hubert’s story starts like many modern relationships, online! Lana was born and raised in Sydney, while Hubert was in New Zealand, but even with the distance their relationship flourished thanks to emails and MSN. Friendship turned into love, and after seven years of seas between them, Lana moved over to New Zealand to be with Hubert. Fast forward three years, and a new chapter in their fairy tale love story was about to unfold when Hubert proposed to Lana. They were wed at Doltone House in April 2017 in one of the most magical weddings ever to grace our Sydney Harbour wedding venues.

With uncertain weather threatening their outdoor ceremony, Lana and Hubert’s ceremony took place in Parkview at Darling Island, Pyrmont. The New York inspired interior complimented their classic colour theme and stunning floral arbor by John Emmanuel Floral Events. Lana said one moment from her wedding ceremony she will never forget were the ceremony vows!

Just moments away at Doltone House Jones Bay Wharf in Pyrmont, Diane Khoury Weddings and Events created the perfect fairy tale ending for the newly married Lana and Hubert Cheng. Planning their wedding whilst leading busy lives in New Zealand, Lana said they left everything to Diane, so the moment they stepped into their dream wedding reception they were completely lost for words. Styled to perfection with white blooms, lush greenery and the twinkle of chandeliers and hanging pendants, plus king chairs, banquet tables, gold and monogrammed details. There was not a detail overlooked from start to finish for this lovely couple.

Lana said they choose Doltone House for their wedding day for the amazing location and beautiful views. They also heard rumours that the food was first class, and she confirmed they were not disappointed! When we asked her what words of wisdom she had for couples planning their big day, she said try not to stress over the little details and always remember what your big day is about! Lana and Hubert are now back in New Zealand, starting their lives as husband and wife.
