Hyde Park Glamour For Robeka & Nick

From the very first moment, Robeka knew she wanted a wedding day that was classy, elegant and romantic. Wearing a custom Steve Khalil gown, overskirt and chapel length veil, she oozed elegance and glamour, and so did her reception. Working with her stylist Kailey, on a white and gold colour theme in Hyde Park Ballroom, there was not a detail overlooked.

THE PROPOSAL

Nick proposed to Robeka at the famous “Bianco E Nero” New Year’s Eve Party at the Palazzo Versace. A lavish evening of jazz, champagne and fine food topped only by Nick waiting until the very last song to drop to his knee in the middle of the dance floor and propose to Robeka. “Caught up in the moment, I see Nick on one knee and I realised my dreams were about to become a reality,” said Robeka.

THE WEDDING

After stepping into the Ballroom for the first time, Robeka and Nick knew they had found their perfect wedding venue. Robeka said, “We were immediately drawn to the sophisticated black and gold designer interiors, the contemporary arched windows overlooking Hyde Park and the overall layout of the room.” Following the ceremony, the guests were treated to a cocktail hour in the Manhattan Room, while Robeka and Nick took photos in the Ballroom. They chose a floor plan to complement the natural layout of the room, with long communal tables down the middle and roundtables towards the edges of the room.

THE STYLING

Styled by Events by Kailey, the reception design was elegant and romantic. White floral arrangements, charger plates and crystal glassware were the heroes of the table, paired with black table linen and chairs to create a luxurious finish. Robeka said “a fond memory of the evening was being able to witness all of our guests enjoying the vibrant atmosphere as we were seated for dinner. It was at this moment we truly appreciated all the hard work that was put into creating our perfect wedding.”

PLANNING TIPS

When asked for any tips for brides-to-be who are planning their own wedding, she said “Enjoy every moment in the lead up to the wedding! Know the type of wedding you want and strive for excellence.”
