Doltone House Jones Bay Wharf was thrilled to have hosted the Bartender Magazine’s Australian Bar Awards on September 2018. Spectacular views of the Sydney Harbour Bridge and city skyline created the perfect backdrop to what was a marvellous event.

Hundreds of bar professionals from around Australia headed down to our picturesque waterfront venue for a night of mingling, drinking cocktails and congratulating the fine efforts of the best in the industry.

Australian Bar Awards presented an opportunity to mix and socialise with similar outstanding people in the industry. Before the big awards started, there was meet and greet session out on the large deck at Doltone House, with the Sydney Harbour Bridge in the background.

Best Bars in Australia

With great tunes and the best bar industry types from around the country, a pre-drinks party was a success. Our large outdoor balcony and deck showcased several bars including the Southern Comfort, The House of Angostura and Jose Cuervo. Bacardi was there with classic Daiquiris cocktails, while Kahlua was serving up Espresso Martinis. Campari had refreshing drinks coming out of the Aperol Spritz bar. Fancy Free team was on the drinks at the Re’al Cocktail Ingredients bar.

The night focused on recognising and rewarding the most talented bartenders of the year across the nation in a sensational way, and boy it delivered! It was great to see a good mix of winners from around the country.

Awards Night Gala Dinner

With a luxurious meal, drinks and first-class entertainment, the evening was a memorable affair for all those attending. Guests feasted on our award-winning catering featuring our mouth-watering roasted Barramundi with olive capers, crushed potatoes, eggplant basil, pine nut relish and tomato fondue.

Large neon martini sign was featured above the center stage, while the inclusion of red and blue lighting created a spectacular ambiance, getting people into the spirit of the event.

As a culmination of 2018 Sydney Bar Week, event ceremony has been described as the ‘Oscars’ of the bar industry. The event offered well-deserved recognition to the leading names of the trade for their hard work and dedication.
